Selected Poems

I had never heard of Chairil Anwar until I looked at this book on the library bookshelf. He was part of the "1945 Generation" and his (and the group's) poetry was instrumental in changing Indonesia's poetry to a more "individualistic style.

I enjoyed the poems for their imagery. He had a great talent for evoking a view of his native New Jersey.
